A woman's perspective on business in an era of turbulence

According to the World Bank report "Women, Business and the Law - 2023", the economic situation of women in the Russian Federation may have worsened over the past few years. At the end of 2022, Russia's index amounted to 73.1 points, which allowed the country to take 138th place in the ranking with the participation of 190 countries. In 2021, the Russian Federation was in 128th place, two years earlier - in 122nd place. The organization's rating is based on the analysis of laws and regulations covering eight interrelated areas: mobility, jobs, remuneration, family relations, parenthood, entrepreneurship, financial assets and pensions.

How can we explain the negative dynamics of women's participation in business activity in the Russian Federation? Or is the situation different in reality? Experts, government officials and business representatives will talk about this at the first session of the fourth meeting of Kommersant's closed club. A woman's view of business in an era of turbulence. Together with them, you will be able to discuss what opportunities for women's career development there are now in the corporate sector and in small business, what the problem of gender inequality looks like now, and what needs to be done to eliminate it.
