The meeting was attended by representatives of the AEB Intellectual Property Committee, headed by Chairperson Anton Bankovsky, and representatives of the AEB Health & Pharmaceuticals Committee, headed by Chairperson Yana Kotukhova. The meeting was also attended by the President of the Eurasian Patent Office Grigory Ivliev.

At the meeting the participants discussed the issues of intellectual property, including the European right holders, protection of intellectual property rights of pharmaceutical manufacturers and prospects of cooperation. 

The parties noted the importance of intellectual property for economic development and provision of Russian consumers with quality goods, including medicines. They also exchanged views on approaches to the introduction of "parallel imports" of goods and the prospects of introduction of a register of pharmacologically active substances at the Russian and Eurasian levels.
