Starting from February 14, 2010, the requirement to get a compulsory certification of a certain number of goods will be removed and replaced by the "conformity declarartion" procedure.
According to the Russian technical regulation legislation, until all relevant technical regulations enter into force, the Russian government has a right to annually issue/specify a list of goods in relation to which a compulsory certification applies and a list of goods in relation to which a conformity declaration applies. This year the conformity declaration list was increased and a number of new goods were included into it, such as meat/meat products, perfume & cosmetics, kitchenware and tableware etc. This is one in the framework of the government's policy on "investment climate improvement" and reduction of the adminsitrative barriers. |
