Moscow, 1 July 2011 . - David Gray has been appointed Country Managing Partner at PwC Russia.

David Gray is assuming the role of Country Managing Partner in Russia with effect from 1 July 2011. Prior to this appointment, David was the leader of PwC’s Energy, Utilities and Mining practice in Central and Eastern Europe. David has been working in Russia for more than 16 years and has helped build a market-leading practice. David is well-known in Russia and CEE and has been a PwC Partner for more than 14 years. David has a wealth of experience of the Russian market and deep knowledge of our firm, team and clients. David is famous for his sharp wit and strong commitment to client service. Most recently as CEE EU&M leader, he helped build a market-leading practice in that industry. He was elected to the CEE Partner Council twice and has strong relationships and networks across the region.

David was born in Somerset, England on 26th August 1962. In June 1983 he graduated from the Newcastle University with a degree in Geography. In June 1990 David completed a doctoral thesis on labour economics at the University of London. David joined Price Waterhouse in London in February 1987 as an Audit Assitant and worked on the audits of several prestigious clients and on the privatization of the UK electricity sector. He first came to Russia in 1994 for a one week internal audit, came back for two weeks «to help out», and is still here 17 years later. He was appointed partner in June 1997. In the last 17 years David has worked with a large number of Russia’s leading companies, including those involved in the energy, utility, mining, media and metals sectors.
