Prequalification GC - Tender for new construction and renovation of chancery and residence of Swiss Embassy in Moscow

02.12.2011

Since 1946 the Swiss Embassy in Moscow has been located in the Basmanny district northeast of the city centre.

At the end of the 1980’s and the beginning of the 1990’s, the Swiss mission in Moscow transformed itself into one of Switzerland’s largest and most important embassies within a few years.
In cooperation with representatives of the city of Moscow and the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, the Federal Office for Buildings and Logistics (FBL) announced a project competition in the summer of 2007 for a basic redesign of the embassy. The embassy plot with its historic 19th century city palace will be supplemented with a new L-shaped building, which will stand along the border of the plot. The old and new buildings together surround an interior courtyard.

The requirements of the MINERGIE ECO® Standard should be respected.
