AEB discussed legal risks in distribution at a joint roundtable discussion of the legal and compliance committees

On December 3, 2025, a joint roundtable of the AEB Legal Committee and the AEB Compliance and Ethics Committee was held at the office of Melling, Voitishkin & Partners on the topic "Distributors as a risk zone: balancing anti - corruption compliance and antitrust law."

The opening remarks were delivered by Ekaterina Erova, AEB Legal Committee Chairperson, and Ekaterina Cheburkova, AEB Compliance & Ethics Committee Chairperson. The discussion was moderated by Roman Butenko, AEB Compliance & Ethics Committee Deputy Chair.

The event featured a wide-ranging discussion on risk identification and mitigation practices in distributor relationships across various industries - FMCG, pharmaceuticals, and the automotive sector. Participants shared experiences in anti-corruption compliance, due diligence methodologies, and risk mitigation tools, including audits, financial analysis, and real-time monitoring.

Speakers - Anna Zamkova (PepsiCo), Nadiya Goreslavskaya (Melling, Voitishkin & Partners), Ilya Shlykov (Great Wall Motor Rus), and Ivan Zhukov (Novo Nordisk) - presented industry-specific cases and answered audience questions. The discussion addressed complex issues such as interactions with the Federal Antimonopoly Service when terminating contracts, as well as the role of industry codes of conduct and self-regulation.
