On June 20, 2026, the team of the North-West Committee of the Association of European Businesses (AEB) took part in the annual volunteer initiative “Green Games” held in the village of Yalgelevo in Russia’s Leningrad region.

During the event, participants focused on improving local public spaces. Volunteers renovated a children’s playground, repainted benches, cleared and upgraded pathways, planted trees, and cleaned the park area of litter and fallen leaves.

The participation of the AEB North-West Committee team highlighted the contribution of the business community to local development and support for sustainable civic initiatives.

Over time, “Green Games” has grown beyond a traditional clean-up event, becoming an annual platform for cooperation between business, government, and civil society aimed at improving the quality of life.
