On 8 April 2026, the AEB Conference Centre in Moscow hosted an open event of the AEB Insurance and Pensions Committee titled “Cyber Risk Insurance: Current Trends and New Challenges”.

During the meeting, participants discussed key issues in the cyber risk and cyber insurance markets, highlighting the growing number and increasing sophistication of cyber incidents. Experts presented an overview of the cyber incident landscape, addressed legal aspects of cyber risk insurance — including regulatory developments and claims handling practices — and shared international experience, with a particular focus on cyber insurance in Latin American countries.

Special attention was given to the current state of the Russian cyber insurance market, emerging trends, underwriting approaches, and future prospects. The event concluded with a Q&A session, where participants exchanged views on practical cases and discussed how insurance solutions can adapt to the rapidly evolving cyber threat environment.
