On December 4, 2024, the 5th annual AEB conference “Technical regulation of energy efficiency of energy consuming appliances: application of the EAEU TR 048/2019 and European practice” was held.

The conference participants discussed the latest innovations that have occurred and are planned in the CIS countries, the finalization of the legislation of the Eurasian Union, as well as how to make the regulation not only effective, but also to unify its requirements in all countries of the Customs Union in order to simplify its implementation.

This time the conference became the most interesting for all the time of its holding in terms of the scale of the reviewed experience, as the best regulatory practices were shared by such foreign experts of associations as: APPLiA, Association of European Household Appliance Manufacturers, CHEAA, China Household Appliance Association and KEA, Korea Electronics Association, members of IRHMA (The International Roundtable of Household Appliance Manufacturer Associations). 

The experts noted the need to coordinate the efforts of all countries in developing energy efficiency requirements and unifying legislation in terms of labeling, technical requirements and test methods.
