Epidemiological restrictions to be partially lifted in Saint Petersburg starting February 21, 2022

In Saint Petersburg, a number of coronavirus restrictions will be lifted starting February 21, 2022. The corresponding Decree was signed by the Governor of Saint Petersburg Alexander Beglov.

According to the Decree, not only vaccinated people or those recovered from COVID-19 over the past 12 months but also citizens tested positive for antibodies (Immunoglobulin G) to coronavirus infection, will be able to visit:

- marriage and birth registration ceremony;

- sports, entertainment, cultural, and recreation facilities;

- retail trade facilities;

- restaurants, cafes.

The working hours of restaurants, cafes, entertainment and leisure facilities, congress and exhibition events will be extended till 2 a.m., while night clubs and discotheques will remain closed for the time being. 

 

Earlier Irina Chhingeria, Head of the Epidemiological Supervision Department of Rospotrebnadzor for St. Petersburg, reported that in general, the coronavirus restrictions in St. Petersburg will remain in force until 80% of the vaccinated population are vaccinated.
