New testing requirements for Russian citizens returning from abroad and partial lifting of epidemiological restrictions in Moscow

02.08.2021

According to Decree No. 21 of Chief State Sanitary Doctor Anna Popova, starting from July 30, citizens of Russia and the EEU who arrive from abroad will have to post the results of PCR tests on Public Services Portal of the Russian Federation within four calendar days, instead of three as it has been before.

At the same time, those arriving from abroad do not need to take a PCR test if they have been vaccinated against COVID-19 within the last 12 months, or if they recovered from the coronavirus within the last 6 months. However, information about this still need to be uploaded to the Public Services Portal within four days upon the arrival to Russia.

On July 30, 2021, the Mayor of Moscow signed Decree №45-UM, abolishing the compulsory use of gloves in transport, stores and other public places. The use of masks for respiratory protection remains mandatory.
