Sobyanin announced easing of restrictions in Moscow

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin signed a decree on the relaxation of some restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus from January 22. He informed about it in his blog. According to Mr. Sobyanin, the situation in the capital inspires "cautious optimism."

What will change:

- Colleges, institutions of additional education, sports schools and children's leisure facilities will return to their normal mode of operation. Student transportation cards will be unlocked.
- The maximum number of spectators in theaters, cinemas and concert halls is increased from 25% to 50% of the total capacity of the hall.
- Restrictions on the operation of children's entertainment centers, children's rooms in shopping malls, day camps, etc. are canceled. However, the number of people staying there at the same time cannot exceed 50% of the total capacity.
- The work of museums, libraries and other cultural institutions is resumed.
- The requirement to transfer not less than 30% of employees of organizations to remote work mode remains in force. The existing restrictions on the mode of operation of catering enterprises, nightclubs, bars and other similar establishments remain in force.
- The home regime for Muscovites over 65 years of age and citizens suffering from chronic diseases remains in force. However, after vaccination against coronavirus, the social cards of Muscovites older than 65 and citizens suffering from chronic diseases will be unblocked.
