87% of companies in Russia are planning to increase salaries in 2013

01.11.2012

According to a survey conducted by Antal Russia at a time when most companies are actively planning next year's budget, 87% of employers said they were going to raise salaries in 2013.

“These figures do not surprise us. Employers are aware that a smooth economic growth makes them increase salaries. According to the information we have, about a third of middle and senior managers didn’t receive a raise during the past year. This means that if their income doesn’t increase next year, many of them will most likely look for a better paying job,” says Michael Germershausen, Managing Director with Antal Russia recruitment company.

22% of employers reported that wages will increase, but the increase will be below the inflation rate.
52% of respondents said that the increase would equal the inflation rate.
And employees’ salaries will exceed inflation only in 13% of companies.
Most of the companies will raise salaries for all categories of employees. Only a few respondents indicated that the growth of compensation would depend on the performance of an employee by the end of 2012.
The survey covered 158 representatives of companies operating in the territory of the Russian Federation.
