Chief Executive Officer


 

 

Dr. Frank Schauff

Dr. Frank Schauff was elected CEO in June 2007 and re-elected in April 2010 for the second term. Dr. Schauff’s professional and academic experience position the AEB to promote and expand recognition in Russian and expatriate circles of lobbying and policy advisory.

Before joining the AEB, Dr. Schauff held the post of Advisor on Foreign Policy to the Party Executive of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) from 2001.

Dr. Schauff has had a deep interest in Russia since his days as a student of Russian Studies at the University of Cologne and Volgograd State University (USSR). He went on to take a degree in Economic History and Political Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Masters Degree in The Government and Politics of Russia and Economic History. He obtained his doctorate in East European history from the University of Cologne in 2000, and spent a number of years as a lecturer in East European studies at the Free University in Berlin.

Dr. Schauff's academic background is accompanied by a strong linguistic attainment – aside from his native German, Dr. Schauff speaks or understands English, Russian, Spanish, French, Italian, as well as conversational Bulgarian, Croatian and Serbian.

Chief Operating Officer


 

Ruslan Kokarev

Ruslan Kokarev joined the AEB as Chief Operating Officer in January 2008. Prior to this he worked for the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, a German political think tank, as a Deputy Head of its national office in Russia. Ruslan holds a degree from the Moscow Linguistic University (specializing in Russian, German and English languages) and obtained his post graduate degree in history from the Russian Independent Institute for Social and National Studies, Moscow, in 2002. Currently he is working on his PhD thesis and continues the post-graduate course in political science.

Svetlana Lomidze

Before joining the AEB in April 2002, Svetlana worked for several French companies, for the Embassy and Consulate of RF in France, and was a Research Fellow at the Institute of World Literature. She holds a degree from the Moscow State Lomonosov University. She also has PhD in Italian Literature from the Institute of World Literature, and has translated more than 20 books from French and Italian. Svetlana speaks Russian, French, English and Italian. Svetlana is AEB's External Relations Director and Chief committee coordinator. She also coordinates the AEB EnergyEnergy EfficiencyIT and Telecom and Machine Building & Engineering committees. Svetlana is the Chief Committees Coordinator of the AEB.

Regional Development Director & Head of Membership Development


 

Natalia Trembovetskaya

Natalia joined the AEB in February 2010. Natalia worked as a Сoordinator for AEB Health & Pharmaceuticals, Hotels & Tourism and PR & Communications committees and Biotechnology Working Group. Since September 2012, Natalia is a Head of Membership Development. Prior to this, Natalia worked in BASF:Germany, Ludwigshafen in 2000 and studied and worked from 2003 to 2008 in USA in Ohio, and worked in Faurecia as a commodity Buyer for Exhaust Systems for all American cars. Apart from native Russian, Natalia speaks English and basic German. Natalia holds a Masters Degree from the Russian ChemicoTechnological University of D.I.Mendeleeyev and an MBA from Toledo State University, USA.

Olga Pavlyuk 

Olga joined the AEB in August 2006 and is a Regional Development Director. Olga holds a degree in linguistics from Moscow State Pedagogical University. Olga has more than 7 years of sales experience and speaks Russian, English, German and some Portuguese.

 Events Director & Advisor on EU Affairs

Marie Rondelez

Marie joined the AEB in June 2007 as Events Director & Advisor on EU Affairs. Prior to this, Marie worked for the Delegation of the European Commission to Russia, first as an intern in the Energy and Environment section and then as a PR Assistant to the Head of Delegation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in State Governance from Sciences-Po, Strasbourg and a Master of European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe (Natolin Campus). Marie speaks English, Russian and French (plus a little German).
