The AEB is pleased to invite you to an AEB Drink on the occasion of the exhibition by Jacques Ikhmalyan, by the Gallery "Les Oréades".

The event shall take place on 31 May 2018 from 19:00 until 21:00 in the Art Gallery Niko (Moscow, Bolshoy Tishinsky per. 19, Bld.1).

Born in Istanbul in 1922, Jacques Ikhmalyan was forced to leave his homeland and immigrated to Syria in 1949, lived in Lebanon, moved to Poland in 1956, China in 1959, lived and worked in Beijing, and moved to Moscow in 1961. The huge collection created by the artist keeps many of its secrets and we know only a small part. Jacques Ikhmalyan first worked in Moscow as a stylist editor, taught Turkish at the Institute of Oriental languages, and at the same time, worked tirelessly in his Studio. The artistic heritage of Jacques Ikhmalyan is great and covers more than two thousand works: paintings, drawings, book illustrations and burning wood. "It is important for me to express my feelings and thoughts in the simplest form and at the same time not to fall into the primitive, I write what I feel and do not try to decorate my feelings... It is in the wholeness of feeling that the integrity of the picture is laid, its strength, however, is a real shaped laconism." "The rhythm of the heartbeat" by Jacques Ikhmalyan is consonant with many cultures and it is no coincidence that the artist's works find responses in everyone's soul, regardless of religion or political views.

A glass of wine will be offered to all our guests. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to hear traditional Armenian “duduk” and get a personal tour of the exhibition in English led by Lilya Slavinskaya, artist and owner of Gallery “Les Oréades”.

Attendance fees:

Assigned representatives of AEB member companies: free of charge.

Additional representatives of AEB members: 3,850 RUR (+18% VAT);

Fee for representatives of non-member companies: 7,700 RUR (+18% VAT);
