COVID-19 has a significant impact on every aspect of our lives in Russia and in other countries. Businesses and organizations confront a wide range of practical, commercial and legal challenges associated with the spread of the virus.
During the webinar we will discuss the current changes in legal and tax legislation:
1. COVID-19 escalating impact to the contract performance: force majeure and other legal tools aimed at protecting the interests of the parties. Nowadays Business in Russia, including real estate sector, is facing a serious complication in the performance of current contracts. We will go through the most effective legal tools that might be used by the parties to the contract to protect their commercial interests and to minimize possible negative impact.
Key changes in the regulation of the capital investments. Main issues related to a new mechanism for implementing investment projects introduced by the Law on the Capital Investments Protection and Promotion will be covered.
2. Changes in tax regulation in connection with the pandemic and their impact on relations in real estate and construction. We will highlight the key tax support measures regarding real estate industry and construction, which were adopted by federal and regional authorities: on property and other taxes, relaxation of tax administration, etc. We will also cover the main barriers and restrictions related to these measures, as well as promising tax incentives.
