AEB NW Regional Commitee Open Event in St. Petersburg: Government Briefing

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

The AEB North-Western Regional Committee is pleased to invite you to a Government Briefing by Dmitry Yalov (Vice-Governor of Leningrad Region, Chairman of the Committee for Economic Development and Investments of LO), Maxim Meiksin (Head of the Committee for Industrial Policy and Innovations of St. Petersburg) and Irina Babyuk (Head of the Committee for Investment of St. Petersburg): “Economic, Industrial and Investment policy of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region”.

The event will be held on Friday, May 31st, 2013, from 10:00 to 12:00 (registration will start at 09:30), at Sokos Hotel Palace Bridge, Hall “Foxtrot” (V.O. Birzhevoi pereulok 2–4 (Vasilievsky Island), St. Petersburg).

The briefing should provide good platform for discussions, proposals, questions and answers and an opportunity to receive first-hand information from the city and region authorities.

Mr. Yalov graduated from St. Petersburg State University (specialization in "Politology" and "Economics"), obtained PhD in Political Science. Mr. Yalov occupied various positions in the Department of National Priority Projects and the Office of the Government of the Russian Federation. During the period of 2009-2010 Mr. Yalov held a position of Acting Minister for Economic Development, Labor, Science and Higher Education of the Irkutsk region. Mr. Yalov was appointed to the position of Vice-Governor of the Leningrad Region and the Chairman of Committee for Economic Development and Investments in June 2012.

Mr. Meiksin graduated from Leningrad branch of Moscow Institute of Polygraphy with a degree in Systems Engineering, Moscow State University of Polygraphy and the North-West Academy of Public Administration by specialty "Jurisprudence". From mid-1997 to 2002, Mr.Meiksin headed various commercial entities. In 2003-2006 Mr. Meiksin held a position of Deputy Head on economy and investments at the Administration of the Kirov district of the Leningrad region. In 2006 -2009 Mr.Meiksin occupied senior positions at the subsidiaries of the "VTB" group. From 2010 to September 2012 in a position of First Deputy Head of the Kirov municipal district, Mr.Meiksin was responsible for economic development, industry and investments. Since October 2012 Mr.Meiksin occupies a position of Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Economic Development, Industrial Policy and Trade (CEDIPT). Mr.Meiksin was appointed to the position of Chairman of the Committee on Industrial Policy and Innovations in St. Petersburg since January 2013.

Ms. Babyuk graduated from the St. Petersburg Trade and Economic Institute, Faculty of Economics and Management. During the period of 2001 – 2004 Ms. Babyuk worked as a specialist in advertising and public relations in various commercial structures, in 2004-2006 – headed the advertising department at JSC Tekhnosvyaz-Trade. In 2006-2009 Ms. Babyuk occupied the position of the Director of Marketing Department and the Deputy Director for Marketing at JSC Petersburg Investment Construction Company. In 2009-2011 Ms. Babyuk headed the JSC St. Petersburg Agency for Direct Investments as CEO. From 2011 to 2012, Ms.Babyuk was appointed to the position of vice-chairman of the Committee for investments and strategic projects. Since October, 2012 Irina Babyuk is the Chairwoman of the Committee for Investment of St. Petersburg.

The working languages of the briefing is Russian. English translation will be provided.

Attendance fees:

Participation of 2 (two) top management representatives from the AEB member companies is free of charge;

Fee for additional representatives of AEB member companies is 3,500 RUR (+ 18% VAT);

Fee for representatives of non-member companies is 7,000 RUR (+ 18% VAT);


Your registration will be valid only upon receipt of payment. All payments are to be made by bank transfer. Once registration is closed, the fee is non-refundable.
