Long-term trends of industrial policy will be discussed at the Baltic Region Investment Forum BRIEF’21.
A key business event of Leningrad region will take place on 22 September. This year the main topic of the forum is the production of the future. During a plenary session with the participation of the Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko business, authorities and experts will discuss “How not to be late to the day after tomorrow?” – challenges and opportunities for business appearing as the result of the introduction of advanced production technologies.

Leningrad region has always been and stays among innovators, “pilots”, those who not just embody ideas, but give them a start for replication in the country. Today among the topical subjects in the economy are the introduction of new technologies in the industry, robotization of production, there is a task to reduce the carbon footprint for exporters. We do not just know about these trends, but are already searching for the solutions in cooperation with business and experts at the Baltic Region Investment Forum”, commented the Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko.

Two panel discussions will take place during the forum:
Disappearing footprint: how decarbonization affects the regional industry
Counting on robots: drivers and barriers to robotization of production
The agenda of the forum was prepared according to the requirements of business operating in Leningrad region and Saint Petersburg. 

This year the Baltic Region Investment Forum will be organized for the third time. BRIEF’21 is a platform for dialogue and networking, where investors receive feedback from the Administration of Leningrad Region and support institutions, get acquainted with the experience of doing business in Leningrad region, establish cooperation ties both inside the region and with the representatives of business from Europe, Asia and the USA. In 2020 more than 700 participants from 10 countries took part in the forum online and offline, more than 300 information materials were published in mass media.

The Baltic Region Investment Forum BRIEF’21 is organized by the Economic Development Agency of Leningrad Region, the Industry Development Centre of Leningrad Region and the German-Russian Chamber of Commerce.
