10th Annual Customs Conference “New in customs legislation: practice and procedure”

On 9 April 2014, AEB Customs and Transport Committee hold its 10th Annual Customs Conference “New in customs legislation: practice and procedure” in the Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow. The conference covered the current changes to the customs legislation and practice, as well as hot customs topics such as customs risk management system, customs control on post released goods, administrative responsibility on violation of customs rules, customs benefits for foreign investors localizing manufacturing in Russia, TIR procedure in the Russian Federation and others. 

Frank Schauff, CEO of Association of European Businesses, made a speech on the Prospects of the European businesses point of view on customs legislation improvement; Dmitry V. Nekrasov, Head of Department on customs legislation, Eurasian economic commission, covered the recent trends and changes to the Customs Union customs legislation; Vyacheslav Goloskokov, Head of Division on risk management and operative control, Federal Customs Service, presented the “Risk management system: main aspects and the results of experiment on the foreign trade participants categorization; Valery I. Seleznev, Head of Division on the customs control on post released goods, Federal Customs Service, made a presentation on the implementation features of the customs control on post released goods. Wilhelmina Shavshina, Deputy Chair of AEB Customs and transport committee, Legal and BD Director, PhD in law, Head of Foreign Trade regulation practice, DLA Piper, Alexander Kosov, PhD in Law, Head of Practice for Customs and Foreign Trade Regulation, Pepeliaev Group, Alexander Ratnikov, Expert on customs legislation and TIR, IRU were the key speakers of the second session on actual issues for foreign trade participants and foreign investors: investment climate improvement. 

Galina Dontsova, General Director of the Center for Support of Foreign Trade and Regional Development, Anna Ulyanova, Senior Manager Indirect Taxation Group (Customs), PwC, Valentina Ionicheva, PhD in Economics, Head of consulting group, National Customs Broker LLC, NCB, were the key speakers of the third session on the practical aspects of the customs legislation implementation.

The spirit of the conference was -  partnership between customs and business.
