On February 7, 2013, the AEB North-Western Regional Committee held an open event in St. Petersburg, named “How to improve investment climate in North-Western District”. The event focused on the prospects of economic development of the North-West Federal District in 2013. The key note speaker Odd Per Brekk, Head of IMF Mission in the Russian Federation, elaborated on investment potential of Russia and the region at the macro and micro levels. Business representatives talked about the practical issues related to investing in the region as well as elaborated on the news in accounting, tax and customs legislation and practices. The event was moderated by Timo Mikkonen, Chairman of the AEB North-Western Regional Committee. The Event was sponsored by Awara Group, OOO Innolink and Russia Consulting St. Petersburg.
