On 12 May 2026, the AEB Agribusiness Committee held its regular meeting in a hybrid format at the AEB Conference Centre in Moscow. The meeting brought together Committee members to discuss current issues affecting manufacturers and importers of agricultural machinery.

The special guest of the meeting was Maria Makhina, Partner, Head of the Patent Department and Eurasian Patent Attorney at the law firm Zalesov, Timofeev, Gusev & Partners. She delivered a presentation entitled “Protection of Intellectual Property Rights in Agricultural Machinery: How to Minimise Risks and Build Effective Strategies” and highlighted key aspects of intellectual property protection in the agricultural machinery sector.

The presentation covered issues related to the protection of trademarks, patents and industrial designs, risks arising when working with foreign partners, as well as recent regulatory changes and practical mechanisms for enforcing IP rights in Russia. Participants noted the high practical value of the presentation and the dynamic discussion that followed.
