AEB and EEC delegation representatives took part in the round table "Eurasian economic Union – latest developments and customs issues"

On February 13, 2020, the delegation of the AEB and EEC took part in the round table "Eurasian economic Union – latest developments and customs issues", which was held at the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber.


Richard Schenz, Vicepresident, Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, Bettina Vogl-Lang, Director Customs and Deputy DG for Economic Policies and Customs, Ministry of Finance, and Nurlan Akmatov, Minister for Customs Cooperation, Member of Board Eurasian Economic Commission, delivered the welcoming speeches at the beginning of the meeting.

Mr. Akmatov spoke in detail about the development and modernization of customs legislation in the Eurasian economic Union.
AEB CEO Frank Schauff presented the activities of the Association of European businesses with regards to creating ties between the EU and the EAEU.

The participants of the round table presented and discussed the current issues of customs regulation, namely, customs transit, customs procedures, Russian customs administration matters, and others.
