On 24 April, 2019, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association of European Businesses was held in the Hotel Renaissance Moscow Monarch, Moscow. 

The meeting was chaired by Lodewijk Schlingemann, Chairman of the Council of National Representation (CNR), AGM Chairman, who made a welcome speech.

The AGM was addressed by keynote speakers: H.E. Markus Ederer, Ambassador of the European Union to the Russian Federation and Andrei Sharonov, President, Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO.

 

At the AGM were presented reports on: 

- AEB activities (by Johan Vanderplaetse, Chairman of the AEB Board);

- AEB operations (by Frank Schauff, AEB CEO);

- Report of the Council of National Representation (by Lodewijk Schlingemann, Chairman of the Council of National Representation);

- Report of the Auditing Commission (by Rene Pischel, Chairman of the AC).

The members approved by open voting the AEB Annual and Financial Report 2018, amendments to 2019 budget in accordance with the new demands and challenges, upgrading of hardware and software in the AEB office, Budget 2020, membership fees from the beginning of 2020 and a new composition of the CNR. 

The AEB members elected the AEB CEO and the Chairman of the Auditing Commission by secret voting.

Frank Schauff has been re-elected as AEB CEO.

Rene Pischel, European Space Agency, has been re-elected as a Chairman of the Auditing Commission. 

The Annual General Meeting was followed by a Reception.
