On 3 June, 2020, the session ”Russia within global manufacturing chains” was held within INNOPROM ONLINE-2020.

The discussion addressed the role of Russian industry in global manufacturing, crisis influence on international cooperation and networking development, globalization vs. localization.

In particular, the following aspects were highlighted by the speakers: global supply chains security, cost increase caused by supply chain disruptions, local content policies vs. exports state support, interdependence of imported high-tech components and exports potential, in-house manufacturing model for companies with large market capitalization, access to finance for ongoing and planned investment projects, increased demand for fright services, US-China trade tensions potential impacts, adaptation of local markets to new conditions, current challenges for the companies with foreign capital in Russia.
