On June 30, 2020, Igor Artemiev, Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, briefed online the AEB members on the topic “Federal Antimonopoly Service: current practice and prospective”.

The event was co-chaired by Ruslan Kokarev, AEB Deputy CEO - Chief Operating Officer, and Dias Asanov, AEB Legal Committee Chairperson. 

    

Like in previous years, Mr. Artemiev provided comprehensive answers to the questions put forward by member companies of the AEB from different industries. 

These questions touched on important topics regarding tariff regulation, organization of public procurement, including the participation of SMEs; ensuring supply security during the pandemic; antimonopoly compliance and combating cartel practices; trade law, competition in the pharmaceutical market, and so on.

The Head of FAS Russia noted the role of European businesses in the period of COVID-19 restrictions, especially in the food retail sector.

The Association of European Businesses highly appreciates the fact that Mr. Artemiev always finds time in his busy schedule to hold the regular annual meetings with representatives of European companies in Russia.
