On May 17, 2022, the AEB North-Western Regional Committee held a roundtable “AEB crisis navigator for foreign business in North-West. Where are we and where are we heading?”. The event was held offline in a format of a round table at the premises and with full support of “Egorov, Puginsky, Afanasiev and Partners” company in St. Petersburg.

The round table was devoted to an overview of the current situation amid sanctions and countermeasures. Representatives of the member-companies of the North-Western Regional Committee got the most up-to-date information on the main practical challenges faced by the European companies in Russia in the current crisis. 

The participants received the first-hand information on the measures that the AEB is taking to lobby the interests of foreign business in Russia from the AEB CEO Tadzio Schilling. 

Ivan Smirnov, Managing Partner at the St. Petersburg office of Egorov, Puginsky, Afanasiev and Partners (EPAM) talked about legal challenges and risks for companies with foreign capital and other topical issues. 

In the second part, the participants of the round table were able to take part in the lively discussion, ask questions and share the main problems. The event was followed by an informal networking.
