AEB delegation members discussed transport and investment climate issues with the European Commission and European Parliament representatives

On February 03, 2020, the AEB Board delegation in Brussels met with Henrik Hololei, Director-General for Mobility & Transport, European Commission to discuss such issues as: Trans European corridors; EU-EAEU coopération, aimed at boosting trade, EAEU as a reality for European businesses and others.
The first day of the business mission ended with the hearing with the International Trade Committee (INTA) of the European Parliament chaired by Helmut Scholz.
The discussion was devoted to existing trade barriers, most important issue being labeling; technical regulations cf. Conformity assessment committee issue on ecolabelling etc.
The participants also discussed the overall economic situation in Russia and the investment climate.
