AEB delegation met with the Trade Counsellor, EU Delegation to Kazakhstan and AIFC representatives


On March 4, 2020, the AEB delegation met with Dr. Ramūnas Janušauskas, Trade Counsellor, EU Delegation to Kazakhstan and EU trade and economic counsellors.

Mr. Janušauskas spoke in detail about the work to develop relations in such areas as economic cooperation and trade - especially through the implementation of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement.

Trade and economic counsellors from the embassies of EU member states and representatives of AEB European companies exchanged their experience in doing business in Kazakhstan and discussed the prospects for strengthening the position of European investors in the country.

The next point of the business mission  was a visit to the International Finance Center «Astana»  (AIFC). After presentation of the Center, AIFC representatives discussed with the members of the AEB delegation some possible measures to attract investments into the country's economy, to create an attractive environment for investment in financial services, to develop Kazakhstan's stock market and to ensure its integration with international capital markets.
