On June 19, an expert discussion “International Cooperation in Taxation: Today’s Priorities” was held within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. 

The event was attended by representatives of government agencies and business associations.

The CEO of the Association of European Businesses Tadzio Schilling made a report in which he presented the AEB’s proposals within the framework of the discussion of the draft law on fine-tuning national legislation in connection with the global tax reform Pillar II, and noted the importance of a balance between international standards and national interests.

The session was attended by the head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia Daniil Egorov, Deputy Finance Minister Alexey Sazanov, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Alexander Shokhin and other experts as well. The main topics of discussion were the prospects for international tax cooperation, the implementation of global tax reforms, and tax conditions for foreign businesses in Russia.

The AEB continues to work on developing balanced solutions in the tax sphere that contribute to the development of business activity.
