On February 26, a meeting of the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation for the Development of agriculture was held on the topic "Issues and problems of the functioning of the FGIS in the agro-industrial complex of Russia."
The event was attended by representatives of the Committee of Manufacturers of Plant Protection Products of the Association of European Businesses. The meeting participants discussed a wide range of issues that farmers face daily when working with federal government information systems. Among the most acute problems were technical failures, excessive reporting, a shortage of qualified personnel to work with the systems, lack of proper integration between various FGIS, as well as issues of reliability of the data entered and their subsequent use in planning by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
The participants paid special attention to the need to further improve digital mechanisms and develop system proposals that will make the work of the FGIS more efficient and convenient for all participants in the agro-industrial complex. The expert community confirmed its readiness for constructive dialogue and joint work to improve the functioning of state information systems in the agro-industrial complex.
