AEB Macro Update: Towards Decarbonization of the Russian Fuel and Energy Sector


Starting from June 2024 the well-known AEB webinars “Crisis Update: Sanctions and Countermeasures” as well as “Talks on the Russian Economy” get transformed into the brand new AEB series of events “AEB Update”, that will be dedicated to separate directions – regulatory update, macro update and sanctions update.

On June 25, 2024, the series of rebranded webinars was opened by the AEB Macro Update devoted to the topic “Towards Decarbonization of the Russian Fuel and Energy Sector”.

The event was opened by Tadzio Schilling, AEB CEO, and chaired by Roman Ishmuhkametov, Senior Associate, Melling, Voitishkin & Partners, Chairperson of the AEB Carbon Management Working Stream, AEB Green Initiative.

The participants of this event were well known and highly appreciated by the AEB members and considered as ones of the best analysts among business community experts:

The experts discussed the prospects and obstacles of energy transition, new trends in the development of “green instruments”, compared the practices of carbon regulation worldwide and in Russia particularly. 

The participants of the event raised the issues of Russian biofuel, biomass and hydrogen market and shared their views on the further decarbonization of the Russian fuel and energy sector.
