On February 3, 2022, the AEB Real Estate Committee held its first webinar of the year on the specifics of commercial property management. The event was moderated by the Committee Chair Tatiana Kovalenko.

Apartment buildings, multifunctional objects, business centers, shopping centers - companies managing such objects have similar questions, problems and difficulties. Therefore the speakers of the webinar shared their experience in dealing with such problems. They talked about how to ensure the most effective management, taking into account the complexities associated with its different types.

Anna Sitas, Maryana Kabakova and Anastasia Sebyakina, senior associates from DLA Piper Rus, in their presentation on the legislative regulation of management of non-residential property considered what actually falls under the term of "management", what forms of management are available today, their advantages and disadvantages, and their specifics depending on the type of property. The speakers have shared their estimation of the influence of the latest changes in the RF Civil on the management of non-residential real estate, as well as of certain legislative initiatives on regulation of the legal status of apartments.

Artem Pichugov, director of property management at Radius Group, presented his SWOT-analysis of commercial real estate management. Within the analysis of strengths and weaknesses, risks and opportunities, the expert pointed out the specific features of modern technologies implementation, of choosing of promising market sectors, as well as the impact of existing external negative trends. Special attention was paid to the peculiarities of "green" facilities management.

After the presentations, all webinar participants had the opportunity to discuss the issues raised and ask questions.
