This is the first time the AEB mission representatives have met with DG CLIMA.

Participants from the AEB side were: Johan Vanderplaetse, Chairman of the Board, Max Gutbrod , Chairman of the AEB Climate Policy Working Group, Partner, Baker McKenzie and Marie Rondelez , EU Adviser, AEB.

The AEB representatives were also accompanied by Laurent Bardon, Head of Economics & Trade Section at the EU Delegation to Russia in Moscow.

During the meeting the parties discussed some important climate-related issues, such as  decarbonization process and the implication for Russia of the EU Energy Transition, the European Green Deal and European initiatives.
