On September 18, 2019, the AEB CEO Frank Schauff and the representatives of AEB Customs & Transport Committee met with the Minister for Economic Cooperation of the EEC - Nurlan Akmatov.

It was the first meeting with AEB after Mr. Akhmatov had taken office as a minister. The participants discussed current issues in the field of customs regulation, obtaining the status of an authorized economic operator, the integration of digital solutions of the national / regional platform and digital tools under the EEC - UN conventions in the field of automobile transport, as well as empowering the Commission with the provision of official clarifications on the provisions of Union law.
