AEB Representatives Take Part in the “Zabeg 2030” Night Half Marathon

12.08.2026

On 8 August, Moscow hosted the nationwide “Liga Sport. Fest” sports festival. Throughout the day, more than 10,000 athletes took part in running and cycling events.

The highlight of the festival was Moscow’s first night half marathon, “Zabeg 2030”. Thousands of participants competed in the 10 km and 21.1 km races, crossing the finish line after sunset. The route took runners along Luzhnetskaya Embankment, across Krymsky Bridge, and along Prechistenskaya and Kremlin Embankments. Participants passed some of Moscow’s most iconic landmarks, including the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, the Moscow Kremlin, Zaryadye Park and the Kotelnicheskaya Embankment Building, before returning to the finish line at Luzhniki.

The event brought together not only professional athletes but also healthy lifestyle enthusiasts of all ages. Representatives of AEB member companies also took part in the race, once again demonstrating that sport unites people from different professional backgrounds and helps strengthen team spirit.

Andrey Vasiliev, Marketing Director at the Association of European Businesses, competed in the 10 km race.

Andrey Vasiliev, AEB Marketing Director:

“For me, running is first and foremost about achieving goals. You set yourself a target and keep moving towards it, even if it seems far away and even when the going gets tough. Racing feels easier than training because you can feel the support of those around you—a friend, a colleague or simply another runner you have never met before. After all, we share the same goal and follow the same route.

The same is true in business. It is wonderful that we can stand on the starting line together. When you are surrounded by like-minded people, every distance becomes easier.”
