On September 1, 2022, AEB resumed its regular webinars "Crisis Support: Sanctions and Countermeasures". This time the experts discussed the latest Western sanctions, as well as the executive order on the temporary procedure for meeting state debt obligations, currency repatriation decree, decree on the application of special economic measures in the financial and fuel and energy spheres. 

Tadzio Schilling, AEB CEO, welcomed the participants at the first call after the summer break and noted the high GR activity of the AEB in August.

Vladimir Efremov, Partner, Baker McKenzie, in his presentation covered the seventh package of EU sanctions, the latest US General Licenses related to Russia, changes in the UK sanctions legislation.

Grigory Marinichev, Partner, Morgan Lewis, spoke about the changes that presidential decrees No. 394, No. 430, No. 529 made to the sphere of bonds and loans.

Maxim Boulba, Partner, SEAMLESS Legal, talked about the details of the Decree No. 520 “On the application of special economic measures in the financial and fuel-energy sectors in connection with unfriendly actions of certain foreign states and international organizations”. The expert described the corresponding prohibited transactions, organizations subject to the decree and consequences of prohibited transactions.
