On April 17, 2025, the AEB Sustainability Committee held an open meeting titled “Energy Transition Beyond Climate.”

This event was organized in collaboration with the EnergyNet Infrastructure Center of Russia’s National Technological Initiative. EnergyNet experts highlighted that:   

1.  Climate policy plays an important role in boosting various energy transition technologies. However, climate is just one of many drivers of the energy transition;   

2.  Energy transition is a prerequisite for industrial development, advancements in labour productivity, and overall economic efficiency;   

3.  Businesses in virtually any industry may benefit from the energy transition, either as providers or consumers of relevant technologies and products.
