Global Connectivity in the face of COVID-19 pandemic was discussed during the International Forum "Northern Dimension"

The 12th International Business Online Forum "Northern Dimension", which took place on April 08, 2021, at the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO, was devoted to сonnectivity: boosting flows of people, information, energy, goods and services.


The Forum was organized by the Northern Dimension Business Council in cooperation with the Association of European Businesses, the St Petersburg Graduate School of Management and the SKOLKOVO Moscow School of Management.

The online event was attended by over 800 delegates. The Forum was chaired by Alexey Mordashov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC "Severstal", Co-Chairman of the Business Council of the "Northern Dimension" and Rolf Jansson, President of VR-Group, Co-Chairman of the Business Council of the "Northern Dimension".

AEB CEO Tadzio Schilling and President of Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO Andrey Sharonov moderated the event.

At the plenary session of the Forum presentations were made by senior representatives of European and Russian ministries and departments, and company executives. They included: Alexander Grushko, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia; Markus Ederer, EU Ambassador to the Russian Federation; Sebastian Tolstoy, President Ericsson Eastern Europe and Central Asia; Sergey Pavlov, First Deputy CEO, OAO RZD (Russian Railways); Johan Vanderplaetse, AEB Board chairman, Senior Vice President, President for Russia and CIS, Schneider Electric; Konstantin Krotov, Deputy Head of School, Graduate School of Management SPbU, and others.

After the general plenary session, this year's Forum also featured six different parallel sessions:

1. Creative Industries – Digital Solutions For Businesses «Connecting the Unconnected: the Role of Creative Industries within the Cross-Sectoral Cooperation»
2. Ecology & Circular Еconomy
3. Energy & Energy Efficiency
4. Health & Lifestyle “Digitalisation of Healthcare: Trends and Challenges”
5. Mobility “New Forms оf Mobility and Connectivity”
6. Transport & Logistics

Experts discussed the most important issues faced by representatives of most business industries.
