On 29 January 2015, the AEB Open Event entitled “HR Solutions in Uncertain Times: doing more with less”, organised by the AEB HR Committee, Assessment, Training and Development Sub-Committee, was held. The crisis in the economy threatens the company not only with financial problems and loss of its market position but also with the loss of skilled personnel, without whom it is impossible to overcome the crisis. Numerous studies have concluded that for people with satisfactory salaries, some non-financial motivators are more effective than extra cash in building long-term employee engagement in most sectors, job functions, and business contexts. The event “HR Solutions in Uncertain Times: doing more with less” was devoted to the practices the leading companies apply in uncertain times: non-material reward and motivation customized and quite focused approach in learning and development. The event was moderated by Irina Zarina, Chair of the AEB Assessment, Training and Development Sub-Committee, Managing Director, СEB SHL Talent Measurement Solutions.
