On October 12, 2023, a joint interregional session of the AEB Committee on Human Resources, the AEB North-Western Regional Committee and the AEB Southern Regional Committee "HR spotlight of Russian regions: challenges of the labor market in the realities of 2023" was held.

The idea of holding the event came in 2020 against the background of a pandemic situation, since then HR-specialists of the AEB members traditionally meet online in the fall to hear the most actual news about the regional life.

Olga Silnitskaya, Deputy General Director of the Association of European Business, and Irina Aksenova, Chairman of the Human Resources Committee of the Association of European Business, addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech.

Vasily Litvinov, Deputy Chief of the Economics Department of the Krasnodar City Administration, told the audience about the main socio-economic trends in the development of the city for 8 months of 2023. The Chairmen of the HR sub-committees of the Northwest Regional Committee of the AEB Elena Novoselova and the Southern Regional Committee of the AEB Igor Brener shared up-to-date information about the labor market of each of the regions, talked about the issues and challenges that companies are currently facing.

The conference participants also shared life hacks on solving personnel issues found by companies in a situation of "staff shortage", the qualifications of employees most in demand from the business side, as well as the role and mission of HR specialists in turbulent times.
