On June 27th, 2018, the members of the AEB Southern regional committee participated in a debatable session "Integration of UN Sustainable Development Goals into the business strategies  of modern companies. Context, meanings and advantages"  in Krasnodar.

The event was organized by the "National Network of the Global Compact" and the Krasnodar Regional Association of RSPP with the assistance of the Philip Morris International company in Russia.

Participants of a discussion were welcomed by Sergey Ogurtsov, the vice-chairman of the Krasnodar Regional Association of RSPP and Lyubov Popova, the Chairman of Public chamber of Krasnodar region and the vice-chairman of the AEB Southern regional committee.

In the expert panel spoke: Alexei Borisov, the Head of UNESCO Chair on Human Rights and Democracy, MGIMO-University; Deputy Chairman and Secretary-General of UNA-Russia, Larisa Ovchinnikova, Chair of the Board of the Association ‘National Network of the Global Compact’, Managing Director of the Institutional Development department of Vnesheconombank  and Elena Feoktistova, Deputy Chair of the Board of the Association ‘National Network of the Global Compact’, Managing Director of RSPP (Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs) on corporate responsibility, sustainable development and social entrepreneurship.

 

Representatives of the companies IKEA, Nestlé Kuban, Syngenta and Philip Morris International have told about implementation of their programs for the achievement of the sustainable development goals.

The meeting was ended with the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Krasnodar Regional Association of RSPP and "National Network of the Global Compact".
