The event was attended by representatives of Moscow hotels, members of the AEB Working Group on Hotels and Tourism, representatives of St. Petersburg hotels and members of the AEB North-Western Regional Committee. The event was held with the participation of a representative of the Organising Committee of FIFA- 2018, the head of operations division on accommodation, Tatiana Zakusilova, and a representative from MATCH Accommodation 2018, Head of Operations Russia, Lana Klyueva.

The participants of the event were given the opportunity to obtain information on the work of the Organising Committee in the frame of preparations for the World Cup 2018, on the results of the Confederations Cup, including statistical data on fans, types of accommodation used and average expenditure during the Cup. A general portrait of the fans expected at the 2018 World Cup was presented, as well as the measures taken by the Organising Committee and MATCH ACCOMMODATION 2018 to make the participation of the fans and teams in the World Cup as comfortable as possible (including accommodation, transportation, security measures, tickets programme, etc.).

The participants of the round table meeting had the opportunity to ask relevant questions and to express their wishes and proposals to the Organising Committee and MATCH ACCOMMODATION 2018.

The moderator of the round table meeting was the Chair of the AEB North-Western Regional Committee, Andreas Bitzi, SCHNEIDER GROUP.

At the end of the event, the participating companies expressed their interest in attending on a more regular basis the events of this format in St. Petersburg on the eve of the World Cup, and if possible, with the participation of representatives of the city administration.
