On February 25, 2026, a round table organized by the AEB Customs and Transport Committee jointly with the Customs Committee of the Japanese Business Club (JBC) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) took place at the Association of European Businesses (AEB) Conference Center.

The event was attended by leading experts in the field of foreign economic activity, representatives of the AEB, and the business community. During the meeting, participants thoroughly examined a number of key issues concerning importers and exporters.

Experts provided a detailed overview of judicial practice regarding the inclusion of dividends and license payments in the customs value of goods. Participants noted the importance of this issue in light of recent changes in legislation.
Business representatives exchanged views on the most pressing issues related to liability for customs offenses. Recent amendments to Chapter 16 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation and their impact on company operations were reviewed.
The results of a survey of Japanese companies, conducted by JBC and JETRO, generated particular interest.
Participants paid close attention to reviewing the logistics situation and issues of financial settlements with counterparties, discussing possible ways to optimize supply chains.

The event took place in the format of an open dialogue. Participants highly appreciated the level of preparation and the practical benefits of discussing the stated topics. We thank our partners from JETRO and JBC for their cooperation and the effective execution of the joint event.
