Mandatory vaccination of employees against Covid-19: regulation and practice

On July 15, 2021 the AEB HR and SHES Committees held a joint open event dedicated to regulation and practice of mandatory vaccination of employees. 


According to the Ordinance of Moscow Chief State Sanitary Doctor No. 1 dated June 15, 2021, the heads of organizations operating in the territory of the city of Moscow in the areas established by paragraph 1 of Ordinance No. 1 are required by 15.07.2021 to organize preventive vaccinations of at least 60% of the total number of employees with the first component or a single-component vaccine, and by 15.08.2021 – with the second component of the vaccine against a new coronavirus infection. Currently, AEB member companies whose operations are covered by Ordinance No. 1 are conducting an extensive campaign to encourage employees to get vaccinated against the new coronavirus infection.
The webinar provided the information support to member companies for the effective implementation of the Ordinance No. 1 and served as a platform for sharing experience of companies in organizing the vaccination of employees.

Irina Aksenova, AEB HR Committee Chairperson, Deputy General Manager at Сoleman Services, and Konstantin von Vietinghoff-Scheel, AEB Health and Safety Sub-Committee Chairperson, Managing Director at Corporate Counselling Services, moderated the event.

AEB CEO Tadzio Schilling delivered the welcome speech highlighting the continuous efforts which have been being made by the AEB to support its members in adapting to the restrictive measures and overcoming negative consequences of the pandemic.

Mikhail Samsonov, M.D., Medical Director at R-Pharm, made a presentation on dynamics of the pandemic and the available vaccines and answered the questions about contraindications and side effects as well as immunity assessment methods and revaccination.

Evgeniy Reyzman, Counselor at Baker McKenzie, provided an exhaustive analysis of legal aspects of the Ordinance No. 1 and made recommendations on procedures to be followed by emploees.

Natalia Fedotova, Finance & Administration Director at Jungheinrich, Anna Kozlovskaya, Vice-president, Corporate Communications, Russia & CIS, at Stada and Elena Maryina, HR Director at Reckitt, shared the practical experience of their companies in encouraging employees to get vaccinated.

The event generated an extremely high interest and gathered more than 230 participants who submitted more than 50 questions which were answered by the speakers.
