Moscow Commercial Vehicle Summit

On 5 September 2017, the AEB in cooperation with the international exhibition operator ITEMF Expo for the first time opened Moscow Commercial Vehicle Summit. Topic of the summit was “Commercial Vehicles in Russia: outlook and perspectives".


Frank Schauff, AEB CEO, Sergey Kogogin, Chairman of the Partnership Council, Association of Russian Automakers, General Director, Kamaz, and Michael Johannes, Vice President, Messe Frankfurt GmbH, Brand Manager, Automechanika, made the opening remarks.

Among the speakers of the plenary session were: Alexander Morozov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Boris Pankov, Omnicomm CEO, Konstantin Evstyukhin, Managing Director for non-financial support, Russian Export Center, Vyacheslav Burmistrov, Deputy Director of the Department of technical regulation and accreditation, EEU, Sergey Kogogin, Chairman of the Partnership Council, Association of Russian Automakers, General Director, Kamaz, and Andrey Chursin, Chairman of the commercial vehicles committee, AEB, Deputy General Director, Scania Service.

The experts discussed current and strategic state policy on commercial vehicles, automotive strategy 2025: vision and directions of commercial vehicle development, export strategy by segments, harmonization of technical requirements in the EEU and evaluated the efficiency of the supporting measures in the commercial vehicle industry. Also two sustainability memorandums between Scania's official representative office in Russia with leading Russian companies: "Gazprom gazomotornoe toplivo", "Delovye Linii" and "Grain Holding" have been signed on assistance in the development of the fleets environmental efficiency, the development of the gas stations network and increasing economy of fuel. Within the framework of the bilateral agreement between "Scania-Rus" and "Grain Holding", the companies plans to ship 50 units of the gas-powered fuel tractors by the year 2018.
