Panel discussion "Foreign Economic Activity of International Agricultural Companies Located in the South of Russia"

On 18th July 2019, a panel discussion "Foreign Economic activity of international companies in the agricultural sector, located in the South of Russia" was held in Krasnodar.


At the initiative of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation a programme of professional retraining "Attache on agriculture" was launched. The programme is based at MGIMO, Kuban State Agrarian University and Russian State Agrarian University – Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy. In July 2019, an on-site module for the programme participants was held in Krasnodar.

The AEB Southern Regional Committee organised a panel discussion which was attended by managers and representatives of business and students of the programme.

Participants of the discussion were welcomed by Tatiana Polutina, Vice-Rector for international and youth policy of the Kuban State Agrarian University, and Timofey Logoyda, Director of experimental training farm "Kuban".

The guests had a tour of the Educational and experimental farm "Kuban" which is a structural unit of the Kuban State Agrarian University.

The moderator of the panel discussion was Oleg Zharko, Chairman of the AEB Southern Regional Committee, Regional Corporate Affairs Director, Group of companies Danone in Russia.

Speakers of the panel discussion were Vladimir Druzhina, Director for Eastern Europe, KWS , Chairman of the AEB Seed Committee, Roman Prokuratov, plant construction project manager, member of the Board of Directors and Technical Director, CLAAS, and Olga Zhatko, Leading expert on foreign trade of Cargill Russia.
