On 3 June 2014, the Association of European Businesses held a special panel discussion “The efficient mechanisms for creation and implementation of innovations in the industrial corporations” within the Skolkovo Startup Village which took place at Skolkovo Innovation City. The session allowed the top-managers of the leading international and Russian corporations, together with Gleb S. Nikitin, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, to analyze the best models of innovation development.
The session was chaired by Michael Akim, Member of the AEB Board and Chairman of the AEB Working Group on Modernization and Innovations, Vice-President of ABB Russia. Such topics as transfer of technologies, localization of products, path of innovation, R&D structures, regulatory conditions for conducting innovative business, Russian innovation policy and other issues were discussed by the panel participants. The speakers provided startups with valuable advice and inspiring success stories and encouraged their innovative activities. Philippe Pegorier, AEB Board Chairman, Chairman of the AEB Machine Building & Engineering Committee and President of Alstom Russia, took active part in the highly interesting discussion within the session “Influence of new technologies on the development of the Russian market of electrical energy”.
