On October 11, 2023, the AEB Committee on IT and Telecommunications, the AEB Committee on Compliance and Ethics, and the Subcommittee on Labor Law (of the AEB HR Committee) held the event “Personal Data. Key Changes and Challenges.”

The event was opened by Maria Ostashenko, Chair of the AEB Committee on IT-Telecom, Partner, ALRUD Law Firm, Polina Presnyakova, Chair of the AEB Committee on Compliance and Ethics, Senior Legal Counsel Global Business Development, Servier, and  Evgeny Reizman, Chair of the AEB Subcommittee on Labor Law, Counsel, Melling, Voitishkin & Partners.

During the event, leading experts informed about what businesses can expect in the field of personal data regulation in 2024 and how to prepare for changes, about important current changes in the field of legal regulation of the processing of personal data of employees and candidates, about cross-border transfer of personal data and localization, and also key rules, risks, practices and current aspects of the destruction of personal data and assessment of harm that may be caused to subjects of personal data. 

The speakers also answered questions that arose during the meeting and exchanged views on these topics.
