On April 28, 2020, during a meeting with the Heads of the regions and Members of the Government on the situation with COVID-19, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared May 6-8 non-working days with salary, thus extending the holiday regime which was scheduled to end on April 30 till May 11, inclusive.

During this period, preventive measures should be strictly observed.

He also instructed the Government and Rospotrebnadzor to develop, by May 5, a plan for the regions to phase out restrictions and exit the self-isolation regime starting from May 12.
