Prevention of violations of the competition legislation: notices from FAS Russia, corporate compliance system, release from liability

On 6 July 2017, the AEB Ethics & Compliance Committee held an open meeting “Prevention of violations of the competition legislation: notices from FAS Russia, corporate compliance system, release from liability” with high-ranking officials from FAS Russia.


Maxim Ovchinnikov, Deputy Head of FAS Russia, briefed participants on the methodic recommendations developed by FAS Russia and intended to assist with implementation of internal control of antimonopoly legislation, legislation for the state defense orders and purchasing orders. Artem Molchanov, Head of Legal Department, presented notices issued by FAS Russia and how they interrelate to the internal corporate compliance system within companies. 

Andrey Tenishev, Head of Department for combatting cartels, talked about cases of violations revealed by FAS Russia recently and about the existing procedure to be exempt from liability. 

Stanislav Druzhinin, Head of the Moscow Branch of Study and Methodical Center of FAS Russia, presented activities of the Center he heads at FAS Russia.
